“An applied method used to obtain actionable, targeted qualitative data on a shorter timeline than traditional qualitative methods. It does not seek to provide a theoretically rich, in-depth understanding of a concept or phenomenon. The aim is to identify or broaden the understanding of key mechanisms, intervention elements, salient descriptors, or facilitators and barriers of a program to address time-sensitive research questions.”
